What is WatsonOS?
WatsonOS is the operating system for your accounting firm’s compliance work. It connects to your clients’ Xero files, prepares BAS and IAS automatically, and runs your entire compliance pipeline — so your team focuses on review, judgement, and client relationships, not data entry and manual preparation.

WatsonOS prepares every BAS and IAS label automatically. But preparation is more than computing figures — it’s making sure they’re right before they go anywhere.
For every job, WatsonOS runs a full QA checklist, samples transactions and cross-checks them against the ABR, and performs a detailed reconciliation of GST collected, GST paid, and the GST control account. Every figure drills down to the source. Every check has a plain-English explanation.
Queries — raised and resolved without leaving the job
Raise queries directly from within a job — to the client, or internally between team members. Clients respond via a magic link. Their answers and any uploaded supporting documents are stored directly in the job. No Outlook, no document management system, no chasing.
Dynamic dashboard — know exactly what needs doing
Every staff member sees the jobs they need to work on, personalised to their role. Preparers see jobs ready to start. Reviewers see jobs ready for review. Approvers see jobs ready to sign off. Partners and managers can see each team member’s dashboard by clicking their name. Estimated work times are displayed so you can see how much each person has on their board.
Bulk processing
High-confidence jobs — those that have passed all checks and are ready to move — can be bulk processed in one action. Select the jobs, click prepare. They move to the next stage automatically and appear on the right person’s dashboard.
Lodgement tracker
The right side of the dashboard shows the lodgement tracker for each quarter. Every job status at a glance. Click any status to go straight to those jobs.
What WatsonOS does not do
Section titled “What WatsonOS does not do”- WatsonOS does not lodge returns directly to the ATO — lodgement is always performed by your firm through your usual channel
- WatsonOS does not modify any data in Xero — it is read-only
- WatsonOS does not replace your judgement — every output is presented for accountant review before it goes anywhere
