QA Checklist
WatsonOS runs a set of pre-defined quality assurance checks on every BAS and surfaces the results. These include:
- Data integrity checks (suspense accounts with non-$0 balances, outstanding payments/receipts in bank accounts)
- Manual journals in GST accounts
- GST on ASIC fees
- Payroll integrity
- Potential payroll tax thresholds being reached
Each check shows as pass, warning, or fail with a plain-English explanation. Leave notes and mark items as addressed as you work through them.
Click the ? icon on the right of any check to open a query or flag — raise a client query and send it directly from the system, or raise an internal flag for the reviewer.
QA failures block the job from moving to review
Section titled “QA failures block the job from moving to review”Once you’ve addressed failures — either by updating Xero and re-syncing, or by marking the item as addressed — go back to the Summary tab, refresh, and the job can be moved to review.
If Xero needs updating: click Re-sync in the BAS workspace. Once the sync finishes (usually 3–5 minutes), click Re-Run. The engine will update all calculations and re-run QA checks.
